Brain-derived tripeptide bioregulator. Protects neurons from oxidative stress, enhances mitochondrial function, and supports cognitive longevity.
How it works

Small enough to enter cell nuclei and directly influence gene expression related to brain protection. Boosts antioxidant defenses in neural tissue, promotes melatonin production, and shields neurons from low-oxygen and oxidative damage.

How to Apply

1

Gather

Peptide vial, BAC water, alcohol swabs, insulin syringe

2

Sanitize

Wipe tops of both vials with alcohol swabs

3

Draw

Pull 1–2 mL of BAC water into syringe

4

Add Water

Release water slowly along vial wall, not directly on powder

5

Swirl

Roll between palms until dissolved. Never shake.

6

Store

Refrigerate 2–8°C, use within 30 days

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) is required to reconstitute lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides. It contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol which prevents bacterial growth, keeping your reconstituted peptide safe for multiple uses over up to 30 days.

Unreconstituted: store at -20°C (freezer) for long-term, or 2–8°C (fridge) for short-term. After reconstitution: always refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 30 days. Keep away from direct sunlight.

Results vary by individual and protocol. In research settings, measurable effects are typically observed within 1–4 weeks depending on the specific peptide, dosage, and application. Consult a qualified professional for guidance.

Verified suppliers typically include a full third-party COA verifying purity (99%+), identity, and sterility. We recommend only sourcing from vendors that provide batch-specific testing data.

We list verified suppliers above that have been independently reviewed for product quality, testing transparency, and shipping reliability. Always verify COA data before sourcing.

Mechanism of Action Small enough to enter cell nuclei and directly influence gene expression related to brain protection. Boosts antioxidant defenses in neural tissue, promotes melatonin production, and shields neurons from low-oxygen and oxidative damage.
Research Overview Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide with the sequence Glu-Asp-Arg (glutamic acid-aspartic acid-arginine) developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson's research group at the Saint Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology as a synthetic analog of peptides naturally produced by the pineal gland that was designed to exert neuroprotective and neuroregulatory effects. Like other peptides in the Khavinson bioregulator series, pinealon is proposed to function through a mechanism of direct interaction with DNA - the tripeptide is small enough to pass through both cell membranes and nuclear membranes without requiring receptor-mediated transport, and crystallographic and molecular modeling studies have suggested that it can bind to specific nucleotide sequences in the minor groove of double-stranded DNA, potentially modulating the expression of genes involved in neuronal protection and function. In vitro studies have demonstrated that pinealon treatment of cortical neuron cultures subjected to oxidative stress with hydrogen peroxide or hypoxic conditions significantly increased cell viability and reduced markers of apoptosis compared to untreated controls. The peptide has been shown to enhance the expression of antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase and catalase in brain tissue, and to promote melatonin synthesis in pinealocyte cultures, suggesting a functional link to the pineal gland's endocrine output. Animal studies in aged rodents demonstrated that pinealon administration improved cognitive performance in maze learning tasks, reduced anxiety-like behavior, and normalized age-related changes in electroencephalographic patterns. The peptide has also been studied in models of cerebral ischemia, where pre-treatment reduced infarct volume and improved neurological function scores. Pinealon is available as a dietary supplement in Russia and some other countries, and is part of a broader category of "cytomax" peptide bioregulators that includes organ-specific preparations for the thymus (thymalin), retina (retinalamin), prostate (prostatilen), and other tissues.
